How Highway 10 construction affects our Anoka customers

Road construction season is now officially underway on US Highway 10 adjacent to our Anoka store for the foreseeable future, and we promise to do our best to help our customers get in and out and make the best of it.

According to MNDot, construction activities on Hwy. 10 in Anoka will be going down to one lane in each direction starting now with several upcoming local road closures coming soon. Spring weather forecasts can change quickly, so please remember that all construction activities and traffic impacts are weather permitting and subject to change.

Here are the key takeaways for customers:

  1. You won’t be able to turn left into either of our driveways from the westbound lane.
  2. You will still be able to turn right from the eastbound lane into either driveway for the duration of the project.

Crews have begun setting up traffic control to restrict traffic to a single lane in each direction on the highway. At the same time workers will move construction equipment onto the job site. Motorists will encounter single lane traffic throughout the work zone until work is complete this fall.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and city of Anoka road project is an ambitious two-year construction plan on 2.5 miles of Highway 10 in Anoka. MnDOT and the city are working together to repair aging roads and bridges and build new interchanges on the highway between Thurston Ave. and 7th Ave. in Anoka. The rebuilt road will improve traffic flow, decrease congestion and increase safety along and across Highway 10.
