Joe Lano Jr. retiring after 50 years on the job.
Although, he’s hanging up his Sales hat, he will still will be around, and definitely will be enjoying the free beer at our events throughout the year! When you see him next, please wish him a happy retirement and thank him for all the years he’s put into this company.
Joe (Joey) Lano, Jr, started working at the original Lano Implement as a Mechanic in 1971 at the young age of 18. Several years later he moved to the Parts Department, and eventually into Sales where he spent the remainder of his career and was honored with Bobcat’s prestigious award for being a Top 10 Salesman in Bobcat Club SIX times. 50 years later, he has decided to retire to enjoy life as a true snowbird spending more time with his family and relax in the warm winter weather in Florida.

Younger Joe, smiling as usual, sporting bell bottoms and a wide collared shirt, most likely from the 1970s?
A note from the man himself:
75 years in business is a huge milestone for any company. Most businesses don’t make it that long. The 2nd and 3rd generation are still going strong! Our fathers said, don’t sweat the little things and work hard! Don’t worry about what the other guy is doing not all the jobs the same! I would like to thank all employees past and present who worked side by side with me and made the job enjoyable to go to work every day — Thanks, Joe!
