Job description for the Diesel Mechanic
Lano Equipment, Inc., a family owned business since 1946, is looking for full-time service technicians to work on diesel equipment, construction equipment and compact and subcompact tractors. We are looking for dedicated employees who have excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and can deliver a high level of service as a mechanic for Lano Equipment and their customers.
Responsibilities for the Service Technician
- Diagnose and repair Bobcat, Kubota and Doosan equipment including skid steer loaders, excavators, tractors 18hp-135hp, UTV vehicles, compaction equipment and assorted attachments both skid steer and 3 point.
- Maintain good customer records, complete work orders and work with the parts department to assure parts needed for a job are complete and ordered in a timely fashion
- Convey job progress to his supervisor and customer as needed
Interact with customers in a constructive and supportive manner
Ability to work well as a team member and collaborate on open work orders
Qualifications for the Service Technician
- 2-year technical degree or on the job experience in a comparable field for 5+ years
- Systems knowledge of components related to work, i.e. hydraulics systems and schematics, electrical systems and schematics and fuel systems
- Own mechanics tool set
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work space
- Minimum physical requirements
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Lift/carry up to 100 lbs.

SERVICE COORDINATOR - ANOKA
- Develop relationships with customers through successful management of product or service delivery.
- Tracking repairs and their causes
- Scheduling technicians and processing warranties.
- Customer profile information is usually stored in a computer system, which the service writer is responsible for maintaining.
- Developing cost estimates.
- Logs what parts that are needed, how much time should be allocated to make the repair and schedules the appropriate technician for the job based on the customer and their repair needs.
- Entering work orders, submitting warranty claims, preparing quotes, and contacting customers are all daily routine as a service writer.

Job description
Lano Equipment, Inc., a family-owned business since 1946, is looking for a full time Set-Up Technician at its Anoka, MN store to ensure that we are meeting and exceeding our service customers’ needs. The Equipment Setup Technician assembles products such as side by side vehicles, lawn mowers, tractors, excavators and skid steer loaders. The technician will also install accessories and attachments related to agriculture and farm equipment.
Responsibilities for the Set-Up Technician
· Positions and assembles parts according to special instructions, schematics and blueprints.
· Records time spent assembling equipment.
· Receives and accounts for all parts for each job.
· Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws.
· Tests or assists in testing all assembled products for quality assurance.
· Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as required.
· Operates hand tools to aid in assembly.
· Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints and inks, as required.
· Keeps work area clean and free of foreign object damage.
· Keeps inventory of supplies.
· Keeps Service Manager updated on work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.

YARD INVENTORY SPECIALIST - LORETTO
Job description
The Yard Inventory Specialist will need to be familiar with the product lines we carry (Bobcat, Kubota, Doosan, Toro and Stihl). The Specialist will work closely with the Service Manager and Rental Manager to fulfill customer needs and know where our inventory items are located in the yard at the Anoka location.
Responsibilities for the Yard Inventory Specialist
· Control and locate inventory of new, used and rental equipment.
· Focus on the needs of our service & rental customers first and foremost.
· Assist customers with loading equipment or picking up rental equipment.
· Search for and be able to locate it in the yard.
· Assist the Service and Rental Managers with customer requests.
· Organize the location’s inventory in the yard for easy identification.
· Assist the Sales Staff in locating and tagging inventory in the yard.
· Assist with washing machines before returning them to the customer.
· Utility person at the location to assist the different departments in meeting customer needs.
Required Skills for the Yard Inventory Specialist
· Able to lift 75-100 lbs. consistently when assisting customers or organizing the yard.
· Must be able to work outside in extreme heat and cold temperatures.
· Mechanically inclined and comfortable performing service work when inventory control work is slow or help is needed in the shop.
· Ability to multi-task and consistently deliver results in a very fast-paced environment.
· Strong collaboration skills to assure cross-departmental effectiveness.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Customer focused with a confident “Can Do” attitude.
· Must be able to work in both a team and independent environment.
· Computer skills – comfortable with using an ERP system to look up and locate inventory.
· Experience in operating heavy equipment and working with industrial parts is required.
